In Turkey almost 3 thousands judges were laid off

After the failed military coup, 2745 the judges, including five members of the Supreme Council of Turkish judges, were dismissed because of their alleged involvement in the coup.

Erdogan announced the need for large-scale purges in the Turkish army. “This was an incredibly quick reaction … One cannot even say that cats are born faster”, said ironically the journalist Arkady Dubnov.
