Desolate Uzbek bank cards cause endless headaches

The Uzbek government has been trying to expand the use of bank cards and introduce a system of non-cash transactions among the local population this year. Inexperienced people, however, still prefer to use cash money and  see a big difference between cash and electronic turnovers.

The authorities’ efforts to prove otherwise remain little effective. People are constantly faced with defects which do not allow quick payments for goods or easy withdrawals of cash at any time at any ATM.
